Edgemoor and Clark Help Build and Plant Long Beach's First ADA Accessible Fruit and Vegetable Garden

On November 16, Edgemoor and Clark Construction teamed up with our neighbors in Long Beach, California for a worthwhile cause.

On November 16, Edgemoor and Clark Construction teamed up with our neighbors in Long Beach, California for a worthwhile cause. More than 25 Edgemoor, Clark, and Johnson Controls employees, family members, and friends joined the Willmore City Heritage Association (WCHA) to help construct the Children’s Gateway Garden, Long Beach's first and only completely ADA accessible fruit and vegetable garden. The garden is located at Cesar Chavez Park, just down the street from Edgemoor and Clark's recently completed Governor George Deukmejian Courthouse. The Build and Plant day included such projects as digging holes and moving decomposed granite, mixing soil, filling raised garden beds, and planting fruit trees. Edgemoor and Clark appreciated the opportunity to participate in this beautification project and give back to the community that welcomed us over the last three years as we constructed Long Beach's new state-of-the-art courthouse. We look forward to the opportunity to work in Long Beach again in the future.

Innovative solutions for the built environment.
